Some people think that being sensitive is something wrong. They think when you cry in front of others it makes them look weak. When you cry seeing a movie, people laugh at it.
Is being sensitive something to be changed in you?
What do we mean by being sensitive? Being sensitive and self-pity are totally different.
Self-pity arises from low self-esteem, sensitiveness arises from compassion.
While self-pity is selfishness, sensitiveness is giving.
Self pity makes you lose reasons; sensitiveness makes you realize reasons.
Self-pity is stubbornness; but sensitiveness listen to others.
Self-pity is denial; sensitiveness is acceptance.
If you are having self pity, that needs to be removed. To do so, you have to feel confident in yourself. Being a good human with sensitiveness is a great strength and virtue. If you are sensitive, be grateful and proud about that–don’t ever change it–be the sensitive YOU always.

Update: One of my readers told me to write about ‘advice on how not to be sensitive’. Here it is: How to live with sensitivity. This article or the previous article is not about ‘how not to be sensitive’, because, I will not tell anyone that being sensitive is something wrong or to be changed.
