Forgiveness is the essence of love:

19 Apr

Forgiveness is the essence of love, because love doesn’t exist where there is no forgiveness. Without forgiveness, love is dead.

Most of the time, forgiveness is looked as if it is a kind of weakness. But actually, a person needs lot of strength to forgive someone. It is brave to forgive someone wronged us. It requires lot of self esteem to do that. In a way it is sacrifice. It is kind of putting away our ‘self’ and ego. But ultimately, the winner is the one who forgives. Read the rest of this entry »

23 Feb

(When we heard this diet will make you lose weight, and that also 10-17 pounds – my husband and I were curious. GM diet, yes…it is ‘General Motors’ diet. We were wondering what in the world this giant in car making has to do with diet. Let me tell you that story. I am not going into the details of its origin, name, effectiveness…and all. You can get all that information from the web. I am not affiliated with anything or this should not be considered as any recommendation. I am telling our personal story of GM diet experience. )

Small things in Life

01 Feb

This story is from a forward email. It is supposed to be from Lisa Beamer. It shows the importance of small things in our life.

I had a very special teacher in high school many years ago whose husband died suddenly of a heart attack. About a week after his death, she shared some of her insight with a classroom of students.  As the late afternoon sunlight came streaming in through the classroom windows and the class was nearly over, she moved a few things aside on the edge of her desk and sat down there. Fragrance of seven dollars

31 Oct

We were sitting in the bus waiting for it to go to the nearby market. My kids were with me. They love traveling in the bus. They can see all kinds of people and look outside. I could see the bus driver smoking outside as if it was not enough smell inside the bus. He was looking at his watch sometimes. People are walking here and there. Buses were coming and going.

I saw a woman coming inside the bus. She might be nearing her thirties. She was wearing some loose cloths which made her look heavier than she is. She seemed like she has some developmental disabilities. Read the rest of this entry »

Is everyone equal?

22 Jun

Everyone is equal? Why people think they are higher or lower than others? Is rich better than poor? Is white better than black? Are men better than woman? Is there better race, nationality, religion or age? It seems endless.

Sometimes we feel like we are less than someone else in terms of money, position, family and talents etc. Sometimes we get treatment from others like we are lesser than the other. We get discouraged or hurt by these kinds of experiences. But is it true that we all are equal? Read the rest of this entry »
